The Maryland women's lacrosse program welcomes seven new players to the fold as part of its 2020 freshman class as the Terps work towards their 2021 season. Over the next several weeks, umterps.com will get to know each of the seven newcomers. This week, we meet Kacy Hogarth.
Hogarth hails from Havertown, PA and helped lead Agnes Irwin HS to state championships from 2017 & 2018. The midfielder tallied 87 goals, 68 assists, 256 groundballs, 167 caused turnovers and 289 draw controls in high school, twice earning All-DelCo accolades.

Why did you choose Maryland?
I choose University of Maryland because of the team dynamic, academics, the coaching staff, and of course, to win a National Championship!

What Maryland lacrosse player did you look up to growing up?
I idolized Alice Mercer and Julia Braig!
Why did you choose your number?
I chose #8 because it's the same number Alice Mercer wore as a Terp!
What is a fun fact not many people know about you?
I am the most competitive mini-golfer.
