Ranking in the top-10 in appearances, career wins, career strikeouts, and innings pitched, Kaitlyn Schmeiser was a fierce competitor for the Maryland Softball program. Schmeiser also excelled in the classroom, earning two All-ACC Academic Team selections, in addition to an All-Big Ten Academic selection her senior year.
"My time at Maryland taught me what it means to step into a leadership role, understand my worth, and work every day to challenge myself and those around me (all with a smile on my face). It took time, but in my four years I was able to develop a level of self-confidence and strong presence that I have been able to carry into my professional career."
Scmheiser is currently living in Baltimore, Maryland, where she works as an Associate Creative Director for a fundraising agency that serves some of the largest nonprofits in the sector including: Shriners Hospitals for Children, ASPCA, March of Dimes, Paralyzed Veterans of America, and National WWII Museum.Â
She is the proud owner of a miniature schnauzer named Moxie, and has recently taken up golfing in her free time.Â
