Penn State Outlasts No. 7 Terps in Overtime

UNIVERSITY PARK, PA – Andrew Privett's goal in the 94th minute gave Penn State a 3-2 comeback win over No. 7 Maryland at Jeffrey Field Tuesday night. 

The Terrapins (11-3-1) took a 2-0 lead in the first 31 minutes before Penn State (9-6-1) rallied back to win the contest. Ben Bender and Caden Stafford notched the goals for Maryland.

  • Bender, a two-time Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week this season, is in red hot form. He's scored four goals in his last four games and now has six for the season. 

Sensational Stafford
  • Stafford has notched at least a point in his last three matches. 
Hall of Famers
  • Maryland head coach Sasho Cirovski will be inducted into the Maryland Athletics Hall of Fame as a member of the class of 2021. 
  • Former star midfielder Maurice Edu will also be inducted in this year's class. 
  • The Hall of Fame induction ceremony will be held on November 19, 2021, at the Samuel Riggs IV Alumni Center.
