Geneva, Ohio – The Maryland women's indoor track and field team competed at day two of the Big Ten Championships on Friday.
Senior Bria Mack led the way for the Terps, tying the all time program record in the 60m dash. Her time of 7.45 seconds also qualified her to compete in the 60m finals tomorrow. Several other Terps raced to season best finishes and set new personal records.

Senior Bria Mack qualified for the 60m finals with a time of 7.45s. This time tied the Terps all time record for the 60 meter dash.

Samantha Facius stepped up to set a new personal record in the Women's Mile (5:03.27). Sophia Zell also competed in the Mile for the Terps.

Junior Jaida Smith competed in the Women's 60m and finished with a time of 7.64s.

Junior Mackenzie Morgan (2:11.18) and freshman Kami Joi Hickson (2:11.19) raced to season best finishes in the Women's 800m.

Cheyenne Jones competed for the Terps squad in the Women's 400m.

Sophomore Chloe Royce finished in 10th place in the Women's Pentathlon with a final tally of 3532 points. Royce's final 60m hurdle time was 9.09s. She cleared 1.61m in the high jump and 5.29 (17-04.25) in the long jump. In the shot put, Royce earned a mark of 9.40m (30-10.5). She finished off with the 800m to complete five events for the day.

"I was proud with how the team stepped up and competed today. I saw a lot of fight from the group across the board. We are ready to take on the final day of competition tomorrow."
