COLLEGE PARK, Md. – Led by 14 kills from
Erika Pritchard, the Maryland volleyball team took down Iowa 3-1 (26-24, 25-17, 24-26, 25-23) at the XFINITY Center Pavilion Friday night.
What You Should Know
- The Terps were led by a balanced attack that saw three players record double digit kills.
- Pritchard's 14 kills led the way. Sam Csire (12) and Jada Gardner (10) also were in double figures for kills.
- Maryland jumped out to a 2-0 lead. Iowa led 19-14, but the Terps mounted a charge to take a 20-19 lead before eventually winning the set 26-24.
- After a back and forth start to the second set, the Terps took control when the points hit double digits and won the set 25-17.
- Iowa was able to gain a foothold in the match with a 26-24 third set win, but the Terps closed out the match with a 25-23 fourth set win.
