Box Score COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- The Maryland men's soccer team battled Penn State to a 2-2 draw Wednesday afternoon at Ludwig Field. Freshman Ben Bender and sophomore Malcolm Johnston were the Terrapin goal scorers.

• The Terrapins (4-3-1) had the better of the play but were unable to get the three points against Penn State (6-1-1). 
• Maryland had a dream start when Bender found his second goal of the season in the second minute. Gielen sent in a perfect cross from the right side that Bender initally shot into the cross bar. The freshman followed up on the rebound and headed it back past Penn State goalkeeper Kris Shakes.
• Peter Mangione drew Penn State level wiht 25 min left in the half. 
• Bin drew a PK later in the half. This time Malcolm Johnston stepped up and finished the PK to make it 2-1 Terps.
• Maryland looked to see out the match, but Penn State tied the match through Pierre Ready with four minute to go.
