LINCOLN, Neb. - Maryland fell to Nebraska in two games on Friday to start out the four-game series against the Huskers.

GAME ONE
- Nebraska got on the board first and early with a homer over the center field wall by Billie Andrews
- After a quiet second frame, Maryland was able to tie things up after Jaeda McFarland sent Regan Kerr home on a sacrifice fly to right field 1-1 in the top of the third
- In the next inning, the Huskers were able to add on another run on two hits to put them over the Terrapins 2-1, where they remained for the rest of the game
- Trinity Schlotterbeck pitched six complete innings and recorded four strikeouts, the second highest total for her this season
GAME TWO
- Maryland was first to put up a run in the second game, after a single to left field from Schlotterbeck advanced McFarland home to finish the first frame with one run on three hits
- In the top of the third, the Terps took advantage of some defensive throwing errors to bring Merissa Borkowski and Taylor Okada back around to extend their lead to 3-0
- After a scoreless fourth, Nebraska saw the second homer of the day from Andrews to send her and a fellow Husker on base home to put them within one run of the Terrapins
- In the same frame, another homer brought two more Huskers home to take the lead 4-3
