Champaign, Ill. – The Maryland Outdoor track and field finished strong in the final day of competition at Big Ten Championships in Champaign, Ill.
Sophomore,
Caleb Dean, highlighted the days performances as the Big Ten runner up in the 400 hurdles. Dean's time of 49.77 is second all time and ranks in the top of the NCAA this outdoor season.

Women's Notes
- Lillian Hill broke her own Maryland record in the javelin with a mark of 43.24m. She finished in ninth place and remains at No. 1 in Maryland record books.
- Madison Depry competed in the high jump, clearing a mark of 1.65m.
- Leah Blackall finished the triple jump in eighth place with a final mark of 12.36m.
Men's Notes
- Caleb Dean placed second overall in the 400m hurdles. Dean's time of 49.77 is a PR and ranks No. 2 in program history.
- Hayden Tobias in his first throw of the shot put competition set a new PR of 18.48m. Tobias moves up to No. 5 all-time in Terps history. Jeff Kline finished just behind Tobias with a mark of 17.38m.
- The men's 4x100 relay team of Kamari Trotz, Joe Ewan, Cameron Vereen and Caleb Dean earned fifth place with a time of 40.19s. This moves the group up to No. 2 all-time in the Terps' record books.
- The 4x400 relay team of Brian Evans, Aaron Robinson, Maxwell Myers and Colin Rowe finished with a season best time of 3:10.82.

"The performances today highlighted what we have been working toward all season. The athletes came out to score points for the team and set the standard higher in the process."
