Terps Travel to NCAA East Regionals

COLLEGE PARK, Md. – The Maryland outdoor track and field team will travel 12 athletes to compete at the NCAA East Regionals hosted in Jacksonville, Fla.

The four-day meet will begin Wednesday, May 26, and end Saturday, May 29.

Of the women, Jaida Smith and Bria Mack will compete in the 100m dash on Thursday at 7 p.m. Alice Barnsdale and Angel Nkwonta will compete in the hammer throw starting Thursday at 1:30 pm. Nkwonta will also compete in the shot put Thursday, May 28 at 6:30 p.m. Leah Balckall will compete in the triple jump on the final day of competition at 3:15 p.m.

For the men, the 4x100 relay team of Trotz, Ewan, Vereen and Dean will compete Friday at 5:30 p.m. Caleb Dean will also compete in the 110m hurdles, Wednesday at 6 p.m. and the 400m hurdles Wednesday at 7:25 p.m. Freshmen Jeff Kline and Hayden Tobias will both compete in shot put Wednesday at 6 p.m. Kaithon McDonald will compete in the high jump on Friday at 1 p.m.
