COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Six incoming freshman for the Maryland women's lacrosse team were selected as Under Armour All-Americans and will compete in the All-America game on Saturday, July 31 at Homewood Field in Baltimore.
Attacker Hailey Russo, midfielders Demma Hall, Jordyn Lipkin and Madison Sterling, defender Kennedy Major and goalie Emily Lamparter will represent the Terps in Baltimore this weekend.
Maryland's six Under Armour All-American's are the most in the country. Duke has the next most with four.
Hall, Lamparter, Major, Russo and Sterling will all compete for the South Team while Lipkin will compete for the North Team.
Current Terps Eloise Clevenger, Sophi Wrisk, Shaylan Ahearn, Victoria Hensh, Hannah Leubecker, Kate Sites, Julia Hoffman, Darby Welsh and Grace Griffin were all Under Armour All-Americans.
The Senior All-America game will be played at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 31 at Homewood Field on the campus of Johns Hopkins University and be broadcasted live on ESPNU. In its 16th year, the Under Armour All-America game is comprised of 48 senior girls selected by Inside Lacrosse and a selection committee.
