Box Score WINSTON SALEM, NC – Maryland (4-2-2) hung tough but couldn't muster enough offense and ultimately fell to undefeated Wake Forest (8-0), 2-0 on Sunday afternoon.
The opening twenty minutes were even as both teams jockeyed for position and opportunities but it was the Demon Deacons that broke through first. Wake Forest continued to pressure the Maryland defense but the Terps held strong and went into halftime down just 1-0. The second half saw both teams continuing to fight for chances with neither defense giving an inch of space. The Maryland offense kept pushing but couldn't crack the Wake Forest defense and goalie that has still yet to concede a goal on the season.
