MINNEAPOLIS, MN - The Maryland volleyball program (13-1, 1-1 B1G) dropped its first match of the season as it fell 3-0 to the No.9 Minnesota Golden Gophers (7-3, 2-0) on Sunday afternoon in Minneapolis.
The loss ends the Terps' 13-match winning streak, the program's longest since joining the Big Ten conference.

Diggin' It
- The Terps racked up 46 digs on the day.
- Maryland was led by Sam Csire with 13 digs. Syd Dowler wasn't far behind with 11 herself.
Road Experience
- Sunday's match marked the first road test with fans in the stands for all Terps underclassmen and transfers. With no fans during the Spring 2021 season, a packed Maturi Pavilion with 4,614 fans was the largest crowd yet.
- Setter Syd Dowler answered the call with 22 assists, 11 digs, and two total blocks.
- Outside hitter Paula Neciporuka and middle blocker Hannah Thompson led the transfer group. Neciporuka recorded 10 kills, four digs, and three aces. Thompson notched four kills and two blocking assists.
