
Bender Earns Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week Honors

COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- Maryland sophomore midfielder Ben Bender earned Big Ten Offensive of the Week honors, the conference announced Tuesday.
Bender was key to the Terps' 2-0 week, scoring a goal and adding an assist. He assisted on Chris Rindov's goal in a 2-0 win against George Mason on Friday before scoring a goal against Virginia in a 2-1 on Monday. Bender leads Maryland five five points on the season.
Maryland rose to No. 7 in the United Soccer Coaches Poll this week and will face off with No. 1 Georgetown Saturday at Shaw Field in Washington, D.C.
