Terps Drop Conference Opener to Rutgers

COLLEGE PARK, MD – The Maryland gymnastics team dropped its first conference matchup of the season as it lost 195.550-194.925 to the Rutgers Scarlet Knights on Saturday afternoon inside the XFINITY Center. The Terps (2-1, 0-1) posted the following event scores: Vault: 49.000 // Bars: 49.000 // Beam: 48.475 // Floor: 48.450.
Audrey Barber took home the highest score on vault with a 9.850 with Josephine Kogler placing third with a 9.800. Elizabeth Debarberie and Aleka Tsiknias both posted the top score on the uneven bars with a 9.825. Barber finished with a team-high 39.150 in the all-around.
