Terps Set for Big Ten Media Day

COLLEGE PARK, MD – Head coach Brenda Frese, Preseason All-Big Ten honoree Diamond Miller and senior All-Ivy League transfer Abby Meyers will travel to Minneapolis to represent the Terrapins at the Big Ten Media Day event at the Target Center.
Big Ten Media Day for the Terps will take place on Tuesday, as coaches and student-athletes from both the men's and women's basketball teams will participate. Head coach Kevin Willard, Donta Scott and Jahmir Young will travel from the men's team.
Two segments of the day will be televised live on the Big Ten Network and online here.
TUESDAY, OCT. 11
9:30 a.m. ET – Brenda Frese Press Conference
9:40 a.m. ET – Kevin Willard Press Conference
12:30 p.m. ET – Frese, Miller, Meyers on BTN studio set
2:20 p.m. ET – Willard, Scott, Young on BTN studio set
Frese and the Terrapins were picked to finish fourth in the Big Ten by the league's head coaches and media panel. Miller, a two-time All-Big Ten honoree, was one of 10 players in the conference named to the Preseason All-Big Ten team earlier this month.
Two-time National Coach of the Year Frese brings in nine new players this season, including AP Honorable Mention All-American honoree Abby Meyers (Princeton), All-SEC transfer Lavender Briggs (Florida), All-AAC transfer Elisa Pinzan (USF), SEC graduate transfer Brinae Alexander (Vanderbilt) and All-CAA transfer Allie Kubek (Towson). Last spring, Frese also signed two top-55 incoming freshmen in Gia Cooke and Brianna McDaniel. Incoming freshman Ava Sciolla and Mila Reynolds signed with Maryland in November, giving the Terrapins a top 10 recruiting class for the 15th time under Frese.
