Women's Hoops Big Ten Schedule Released

COLLEGE PARK, MD -- The Big Ten Conference announced the Maryland women's basketball team's 2026-27 conference schedule Wednesday, featuring home games against 2026 National Champion UCLA and eight total home matchups vs. 2026 NCAA Tournament teams.
The Terrapins will host the Bruins, as well as 2026 NCAA Tournament teams Ohio State, USC, Illinois, Michigan State, Michigan, Nebraska and Minnesota.

The Terrapins will open Big Ten play with a Friday, Dec. 11 matchup vs. Michigan. After the holidays, they will resume league play with a Wednesday, Dec. 30 game vs. Minnesota at the XFINITY Center.
The Terps will play its first of two matchups vs. Ohio State as they trek to Columbus for a matchup on Saturday, Jan. 2. The Terrapins will then travel to Bloomington to take on the Hoosiers on Tuesday, Jan. 5.
Maryland will host USC at the XFINITY Center on Friday, Jan. 8. Then, the Terrapins will make their cross-country trip to play at Washington on Thursday, Jan. 14 and Oregon on Sunday, Jan. 17.
Maryland will return home to host the Buckeyes, its only double opponent in league play, on Thursday, Jan. 21. UCLA will come to the XFINITY Center on Sunday, Jan. 24.
To close the month of January, the Terps will make a quick trip to Wisconsin on Thursday, Jan. 28.
Maryland will return home to host Michigan State on Monday, Feb. 1, then will play back-to-back road games at Purdue on Thursday, Feb. 4 and at Penn State on Sunday, Feb. 7.
The Terps will return home for two straight road games with a matchup vs. Nebraska on Sunday, Feb. 14 and vs. Illinois on Wednesday, Feb. 17.
Maryland will open another two-game road trip with a matchup at Northwestern on Sunday, Feb. 21 and at Iowa on Thursday, Feb. 25. The Terrapins will close the regular season with a home game vs. Rutgers on Sunday, Feb. 28.
The 34th Big Ten Women's Basketball Tournament will be held Wednesday, March 3, 2027 through Sunday, March 7, 2027 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nev.
The Terps will officially open the season in the Oui-Play event in Paris on Monday, Nov. 2. Maryland will take on 2026 national runner-up South Carolina at noon ET. For tickets and information on VIP packages, click here.
In its home opener, Maryland will welcome George Mason to College Park on Sunday, Nov. 8 as it opens a five-game homestand.
Head coach Brenda Frese is entering her 25th season at Maryland. She's led the Terrapins to a record of 631-178 (.780), 14 conference championships, 23 NCAA Tournament bids, 12 Sweet Sixteens, 7 Elite Eights, 3 Final Fours and the 2006 National Championship.
Frese will be inducted into the Maryland Athletics Hall of Fame this fall, alongside Terrapin legend Marissa Coleman.
The Terrapins return three All-Big Ten honorees in Bri McDaniel, Oluchi Okananwa and Addi Mack from last year's squad that went 24-9 and advanced to the NCAA Tournament Second Round. McDaniel returns after sitting out the 2025-26 season to rehab an ACL injury suffered in January 2025. She was averaging 10.6 points, 2.4 assists and 2.1 rebounds per game.
Frese and her staff signed All-ACC transfer Nunu Agara (Stanford) and guard Chloe Sotell (Missouri).
The Terps also bring in the No. 7 freshmen class in Jordyn Jackson, Trinity Jones, Mimi Thiero and Eva-Grace Yebila.
