Box Score COLLEGE PARK, MD -- Maryland softball opened play in the Capital City Classic with a 3-2 loss to North Dakota State on Friday night. 

Haley Ellefson went 2-for-3 with a run scored. Michaela Jones and Ruby Butler brought home the Terps' runs with RBIs. 

Courtney Wyche started and allowed just two hits and three runs while striking our six. 

Maryland returns to action later tonight against Monmouth.
