Terrapins to Host Selection Sunday Watch Party

COLLEGE PARK, MD -- The 11th-ranked Maryland women's basketball team (21-8) will host a Selection Sunday watch party for friends and fans on Sunday, March 13. The Selection Show will air at 8 p.m. ET on ESPN.
Doors will open to fans at at 7:15 p.m. Parking will be open in the lots around the XFINITY Center. Fans can enter through gates A, B and C and seating will be open in sections 113, 114 and 115.
Maryland Athletics lifted the indoor mask mandate last week. Fans attending Sunday's event will not be required to wear masks or show proof of vaccination. Individuals who are unvaccinated, are immunocompromised and have chronic health conditions placing them at higher risk of severe illness and complications from COVID-19 are advised to continue to wear a mask in all settings.
In the Feb. 28 NCAA Top 16 Reveal, the Terrapins were a No. 3 seed and projected home site for the NCAA First and Second Rounds March 18-21. The Terps are currently ranked No. 13 in the RPI rankings and have a strength of schedule of No. 6 nationally. The Terrapins are ranked No. 11 in the Associated Press poll released Monday.
Six Terrapins earned All-Big Ten honors from the league's head coaches and media panel last week. Angel Reese earned All-Big Ten First Team honors and was named to the All-Defensive Team. Chloe Bibby, Diamond Miller and Ashley Owusu earned Second Team honors from both groups. Katie Benzan was named to the Second Team by the media and earned Honorable Mention honors from the coaches. Shyanne Sellers was named to the All-Freshman Team and was named Sixth Player of the Year.
Reese was one of 15 players in the country named to the Wooden Award Ballot Saturday.
