Three Terps Earn Weekly Honors

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Three Terps earned weekly honors this week as the Big Ten honored Logan McNaney and Ajax Zappitello while USILA recognized Luke Wierman on Tuesday.

Named Big Ten Specialist of the Week, McNaney led the Terps to Saturday's victory at No.7 Notre Dame with 12 crucial saves, limiting the Fighting Irish to nine goals.

Zappitello earned Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week after a stellar game where he caused three turnovers and picked-up a ground ball.

Finally, Wierman was named to the USILA Team of the Week after going 18-for-24 (75%) on face-offs. He added seven ground balls.

This is the first honor of the season for both McNaney and Zappitello. Wierman twice earned Big Ten Specialist of the Week earlier this season and also named to the USILA Team of the Week on February 14. The Terps are now up to four total Big Ten weekly honors and two USILA recognitions this season.

McNaney shares the honor with Michigan's Shane Carr.
