HARRISONBURG, VA – Chris Alleyne's ninth-inning home run and
Jacob Orr's five RBIs lifted the No. 24 Maryland baseball team to an 8-7 comeback win against the James Madison Dukes on Wednesday evening at Eagle Field at Veterans Memorial Park. The Terps (26-7, 4-2) trailed 5-2 and 7-5 in the game, but Orr and the Maryland offense continued to chip away at the lead before Alleyne's towering shot in the ninth inning.
Orr drove in two Terps in the eighth inning to tie the game at seven apiece, while
Sean Heine and
David Falco Jr. pitched two scoreless, high-leverage innings.
The Terps and Dukes traded multi-run innings as
Ian Petrutz and Orr, the bottom of Maryland's order, combined for four hits and Orr drove in three RBIs in the first four innings.
Bobby Zmarzlak reached base three times, notching two hits and a walk.
Logan Ott started on the mound for Maryland and gave up five runs over 2.2 innings.

Nigel Belgrave, Heine, and Falco Jr. all pitched in relief in the Terps and gave up just one earned run combined.
