COLLEGE PARK, MD -Â The No. 4 Maryland women's lacrosse team will look to win the outright Big Ten title in the final regular season game of the season, as the Terps head to No. 21 Michigan to face the Wolverines. The game on Saturday, April 30 will begin at noon and air on ESPNU.
MICHIGAN STORYLINES
BIG TEN CHAMPS
- With a 15-9 win over No. 2 Northwestern last Saturday, the Terps clinched a share of the Big Ten regular season title for the sixth time.
- The Terps won outright in each season from 2015-19.
- This marks the Terps ninth Big Ten Championship overall (three Tournament Championships from 2016-18) and 30th conference championship in total, winning 21 in the ACC (10 Regular Season, 11 Tournament).
- Maryland secured the No. 1 seed in next week's Big Ten Tournament with the victory.
- Attacker Libby May and goaltender Emily Sterling were fantastic to lead Maryland to a victory over the Wildcats last week.
- May was named both the Inside Lacrosse National Player of the Week and Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week after tallying a career-high eight points (seven goals, one assist) on only nine shots.
- Sterling was named the USA Lacrosse National Player of the Week, IWLCA National Defensive Player of the Week and Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week after securing a career-best 16 saves and only allowed nine goals, a 64-percent save percentage and helped hold the Wildcats to just 23.6-percent shooting.

RORY IS ROARING
- Fifth-year transfer Aurora Cordingley is off to a record-breaking start as a Terp, currently standing fourth in the nation in points per game (6.13 per game).
- She also stands seventh in the nation and leads the Big Ten with 38 assists.
- The Canadian National Team member has at least five points in 12 of 15 games, has at least six points in 10 of the last 14 games and is the first Terp with two double-digit point games in a season since Alex Aust in 2013, tallying 11 (six goals, five assists) against Villanova (3/13) and 10 (four goals, six assists) against No. 7 Florida (2/26).
- She has twice this season been named the IWLCA National Player of the Week and five times been named the Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week, both the most since three-time Tewaaraton winner Taylor Cummings in 2015.
- Cordingley has recorded at least one point in 47-straight games dating back to April 25, 2018. The first 32 of those games were at Johns Hopkins, where combined with her 15 games at Maryland, she has 26 career games with at least five points.

THREE TERPS NAMED TEWAARATON NOMINEES
- Abby Bosco, Aurora Cordingley and Emily Sterling were all selected as nominees for the Tewaaraton Award, lacrosse's most prestigious honor, last week.
- Maryland's three selections for the 25-player list are the second most of any school (North Carolina).
- The Terps have won eight of the last 11 Tewaaraton awards and have had a top-five finalist in 14 straight seasons, every year under head coach Cathy Reese.
sterling saves
- Goalie Emily Sterling has been a brick wall in net this season, currently leading the nation with a .564 save percentage and a 7.56 goals against average.
- The junior has over a 50-percent save percentage in 10 of 15 games this season and is saving at an amazing .632 clip in Big Ten play.
- A Tewaaraton nominee, Sterling has been named the IWLCA National Defensive Player of the Week twice this season, the USA Lacrosse Magazine National Player of the Week once and has been selected as the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week for four straight weeks and five times overall.
SERIES HISTORY
- Maryland has never lost to Michigan, winning all eight all-time meetings. The Terps beat Michigan three times last year, twice in College Park and once in the Big Ten Tournament.
- Hannah Leubecker scored 16 goals against Michigan last year, including seven in the teams first two meetings of the season. The Terps are 2-0 all-time against Michigan in Ann Arbor.
