Box Score EAST LANSING, MI – The No. 5 seed Maryland softball team dropped a 7-0 decision to the Michigan Wolverines in the quarterfinals of the Big Ten tournament on Thursday night, ending one of the program's best seasons in years.
Maryland now ends the year at 29-23, the most wins in a season since 2013. The Terps' 14 conference wins are the most since joining the Big Ten in 2015, and its fifth-place finish is the highest since joining the conference.
This was also the first season in which Maryland won a game in the Big Ten tournament, having downed Michigan State 7-1
last night.

- The Terps gave up two early runs after an error on a fielder's choice, giving Michigan the early 2-0 lead.
- Another productive out gave Michigan a 3-0 lead, as an RBI groundout followed a leadoff triple. The Wolverines plated two more in the inning on a two-run home run by Taylor Bump. A single, walk, and another triple gave Michigan a 7-0 lead in the third inning.
