
Chris Alleyne Named Golden Spikes Semifinalist

COLLEGE PARK, MD – Fifth-year outfielder and Big Ten Player of the Year Chris Alleyne was named a Golden Spikes semifinalist, the publication announced. Alleyne is one of 26 student-athletes named to the list, which names the top amateur baseball player of the year.
Alleyne is batting .354 with 22 home runs, 73 RBIs, and 23 stolen bases on the year. He is the third Terp since 2007 to be named a Golden Spikes semifinalist with Mike Shawaryn (2015) and Brian Shaffer (2017) also being named to the list.
