COLLEGE PARK, MD -- Aurora Cordingley was selected fourth overall in the 2022 Athletes Unlimited College Draft, the league announced Tuesday night.
Cordingley is one of 15 college graduates who will be invited to join the second Lacrosse season, which begins on July 21 at USA Lacrosse Headquarters in Baltimore, Maryland. All games will be broadcast live on ESPN platforms.
A Tewaaraton Finalist and the Big Ten Attacker of the Year, Cordingley joins last year's champion and former Terp Taylor Cummings in the league. Alex Aust ('13), Taylor Cummings ('16), Megan Douty ('15), Taylor Hensh ('18), Kelly McPartland ('15) and Kathy Rudkin ('18) all played last season.
Cordingley led the Maryland offense in her one year as a Terrapin in 2022, rising the program single season leaderboards to finish the year fourth all-time in points (118) and fifth all-time in assists (51). The Canadian National Team member won a plethora of awards this season, most recently being named a First Team All-American by the IWLCA. Cordingley is one of five finalists for lacrosse's most prestigious honor, the Tewaaraton, which will be awarded Thursday night.
