COLLEGE PARK, MD - Each week during the 2021-22 season a Maryland student-athlete, who has shown excellence on and off the playing field, will be selected as the Solomon Eye Terp of the Week.
This week's Solomon Eye Terps of the Week are Logan Wisnauskas of Men's Lacrosse and Aurora Cordingley of Women's Lacrosse.
Wisnauskas led the Terps to the 2022 Big Ten Tournament title this past weekend and earned Tournament MVP after posting eight goals, six assists, and 14 points in two games. The team's leader in every major offensive category, Wisnauskas also set a new Terp record for career points in the conference tournament. Over the weekend, the Terps topped Johns Hopkins 16-11 followed by a 17-7 victory over Rutgers to win the tournament title.
Already the 19th player ever to reach 300 career points, Wisnauskas now sits at 321, 31 ahead of former record-holder Jared Bernhardt. The communication major has tallied a point in all 71 games of his collegiate career with multiple points in his last 55.
The Sykesville, MD, native and his squad will face the winner of Manhattan/Vermont in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Sunday May 15 at Noon.
Cordingley posted six goals, ten assists, and 16 total points for the women's team as they also took home the 2022 Big Ten Tournament crown. Named MVP of the Tournament, she also added seven groundballs and caused three turnovers.
She became the sixth Terp ever to surpass the 100-point mark in a season during Thursday's action.
Cordingley and her teammates will face the winner of Duke and Johns Hopkins on Sunday May 15 at 2:30 p.m. after receiving a bye as the two-seed.
