COLLEGE PARK, MD -- Maryland Baseball pitcher Jason Savacool has been invited to participate in Team USA Baseball's Collegiate National Team this summer in Cary, North Carolina. Savacool is coming off of one of the best pitching seasons in Maryland history, striking out 123 batters while pitching a team-high 107.2 innings. The Baldwinsville, New York, native finished the season with an 8-3 record and a 2.93 ERA.

Savacool was also named a Third Team All-American by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association as well as to the All-Big Ten First Team for his efforts this season.
