TOWSON, MD -- Seven Terps, the most of any school, will compete for a gold medal on Saturday as the USA takes on Canada in the World Lacrosse Women's Championship. The game will take place at Johnny Unitas Stadium on Saturday at noon and air on ESPN2.
USA
Lizzie Colson, Taylor Cummings, Megan Douty and Alice Mercer will play for gold for Team USA, which would mark the second gold medal for Cummings, Douty and Mercer and the first for Colson. All four Terps have made an impact for Team USA to get to this point. USA is undefeated at 6-0 and has defeated Australia 17-2 on Thursday.
CANADA
The three Terps on the Canadian squad:
Aurora Cordingley, Dana Dobbie and Erica Evans, have been the standout players for Team Canada, helping them go 5-1 to this point and defeat England, 11-9 in the Semifinals.
