
WORLD CHAMPS! Four Terps Win Gold at World Lacrosse Women's Championship

TOWSON, MD -- World Champs! Lizzie Colson ('21), Taylor Cummings ('16), Megan Douty ('15) and Alice Mercer ('16) have won a gold medal with Team USA, as they took down Team Canada, 11-8, on Saturday afternoon on the campus of Towson University.
This marks the second gold medal for Cummings, Douty and Mercer who were on the team when USA won in 2017 and the first gold medal for Colson. The Americans finished the tournament 8-0 and became the first host country ever to capture the gold medal. The U.S. has won 30 straight games and four gold medals dating back to 2009.

Taylor Cummings was named the MVP of the World Championships after totaling 26 draw controls and 17 points over the tournament.
