
Terps Compete at Paul Short Invitational

BETHLEHEM, PA – The Terps cross country squad competed at the Paul Short Invitational in Bethlehem Pa, hosted by Lehigh University. The team competed in the women's 6K - with two athletes competing in the open division while the remainder of the squad competed in the college gold division.

Meet Notes:

Katie Altieri led the way for the Terps squad in the college gold race, crossing the line as the Terps top scorer with a time of 20:41.5

Anna Coffin was the Terps second scorer, finishing in an impressive 20:56.4
-
Katie Turk (21:22.7) crossed the line as the third Terps finisher on the day
-
Sophia Zell (21:52.1), Katerina Talanova (22:08.5), Emma Pegg (22:39.6) and Rubie Goffena (22:46.6) rounded out the scoring for the Terps squad.

Claudia Dolan (22:50.6) and Kirstin Nichols competed in the open 6K race representing the Maryland squad.

Amanda Eliker and Katie Ericson also competed in the college gold race.
Coaches Comments:
"Today was a good opportunity for the group to see some of the top NCAA talent. We are continuing to make strides in the right direction with the team heading into the midway point of the season."
Next Up:
The Terps will be back in action on October 14th, when they travel to Penn State University to compete in the Penn State Open - their final competition before postseason action begins with the Big Ten Championship Meet on October 28th in Ann Arbor, MI.
