COLLEGE PARK, MD - Incoming Maryland women's basketball freshman Summer Bostock (Toronto, Ontario / King's Christian Collegiate) will come to College Park for the spring 2023 semester. Bostock will join the Terrapins' roster a semester early.
Bostock will join the Maryland squad in practice and team activities. She will begin taking classes at the University of Maryland this spring semester. She will not compete until the 2023-24 season.
"We are thrilled Summer and her family decided that she is coming to College Park a semester early," head coach Brenda Frese said. "This will put her ahead of the game with learning our system and adjusting to college life."
Bostock, a 6-1 guard, averaged 27.3 points, 11 rebounds, four steals and three assists as a junior in 2021-22. She averaged 7.7 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game for Canada in the 2021 FIBA Under-16 Women's Americas Championship.
Bostock played AAU with Become One.
