COLLEGE PARK, MD — Maryland gymnastics head coach
Brett Nelligan announced Morgan Epps will join the gymnastics coaching staff ahead of the 2024 season as an assistant coach on Friday.
"I am very honored and excited to be working in College Park with the GymTerps and their phenomenal staff and athletes," said Epps. "Their culture is one to be admired and I couldn't ask for a better group of athletes to work with."
Before Maryland, Epps worked at Hill's Gymnastics in Gaithersburg, MD, as a coach for their optional level gymnasts. Epps has coached several athletes to college scholarships and Maryland state team titles.
In addition to his coaching background, the Greenbelt, MD native is also brings experience as an active women's gymnastics judge to the program as he hopes to put his technical eye to use in coaching the GymTerps.
"Morgan is one of the great up-and-coming minds in our sport and will be an incredible asset to the program," Nelligan said.
