Women’s Hoops Releases Game Times, TV Info

ROSEMONT, IL -- The Big Ten Conference released game time and television information for the 2023-24 women's basketball season Tuesday.

The Terrapins will play 14 nationally-televised games, including a game on FOX, ABC, two on FS1 and seven on the Big Ten Network. Click HERE for the full schedule and game times.

The Terps will open the season with a 7 p.m. game vs. Harvard on Monday, Nov. 6 at the XFINITY Center, which will be streamed on B1G+.

Then, Maryland will play in two nationally-televised games back-to-back. The Terps will play at South Carolina on Sunday, Nov. 12 at 1 p.m. on ABC, then will journey to Storrs, Conn. to take on UConn on Thursday, Nov. 16 at 6:30 p.m. on FS1.

The Terrapins will play seven games on the Big Ten Network, including at Nebraska (Dec. 31), at Michigan State (Jan. 9), at Rutgers (Feb. 6), at Ohio State (Feb. 25) and home games vs. Syracuse, (Nov. 19), Purdue (Jan. 6) and Wisconsin (Feb. 29). 

Maryland will receive major national exposure for both its basketball teams on Saturday, Feb. 3 as the women's team will appear on FOX when it hosts Iowa at the XFINITY Center. The men's team will also play in FOX with a matchup at Michigan State.

In addition to the game at UConn, the Terrapins will pay on FS1 at Illinois on Sunday, Feb. 11. Maryland will also have three games on Peacock - Jan. 17 vs. Ohio State, Jan. 31 vs. Indiana and March 3 at Indiana. 

Maryland will host California (PA) in the first of two exhibitions on Sunday, Oct. 22 at 3:30 p.m. at the XFINITY Center. The Terrapins will host East Carolina in a second exhibition on Sunday, Oct. 29 at noon. 

Maryland won 28 games in 2022-23 and advanced to the program's 15th Elite Eight and first since 2015. The Terrapins picked up nine wins over ranked teams, including five over top 10 opponents. 

Head coach Brenda Frese welcomes back All-Big Ten First Team honoree Shyanne Sellers, key returners Faith Masonius, Lavender Briggs, Brinae Alexander and Bri McDaniel from last year's Elite Eight squad. Maryland also welcomes five newcomers in NC State graduate transfer Jakia Brown-Turner and incoming freshmen Summer Bostock, Hawa Doumbouya, Emily Fisher and Riley Nelson. Emma Chardon and Allie Kubek will return from injuries.
