Box Score STORRS, CT -- No. 20 Maryland was unable to come away with a top-ten win on the road, falling at No. 8 UConn 80-48 Thursday night at Gampel Pavilion.

The Terps led by five midway through the second quarter, but a late flurry from the Huskies to close the first half proved to be too much to overcome.

Jakia Brown-Turner scored 13 points and grabbed a team-best seven rebounds. Shyanne Sellers added 16 points for the Terps (1-2).

Paige Bueckers scored 24 to lead the Huskies (2-1).

• A Shyanne Sellers three-pointer in the first quarter's closing seconds pulled the Terps within 14-11. The first ten minutes were a defensive battle on both sides, with the Terps holding the Huskies scoreless for over four minutes at one point.
