Football Holds Annual Awards Banquet on Sunday

COLLEGE PARK, Md. – The University of Maryland football team held its annual awards banquet Sunday evening at The Hotel in College Park. Members of the 2023 Terrapins team, coaching staff, administration, support staff and families were in attendance for the special night.

The long-time voice of the Terrapins, Johnny Holliday, emceed the event. The evening started off with a recognition of the senior class and then Holliday spotlighted all of the Terps in attendance that garnered All-Big Ten recognition. From there, members of the Maryland coaching staff began handing out the hardware. A list of all award winners is noted below.  

Maryland head coach Michael Locksley addressed the crowd to look back at the accomplishments of the 2023 Terps. Locksley also discussed the team's upcoming matchup with Auburn in the TransPerfect Music City Bowl on December 30.

The evening was capped of by Locksley announcing the four permanent team captains - defensive back Beau Brade, linebacker Ruben Hyppolite II, wide receiver Jeshaun Jones and quarterback Taulia Tagovailoa. The quartette was voted by their teammates as the representatives for the 2023 team.
