
The Terrapins Return to Puerto Rico for Stroke Play Match Up

RIO GRANDE, PUERTO RICO - The Maryland men's golf team returns to competition after an eight-day break for the sixth event of the 2022-23 season in the 30th annual Puerto Rico Classic, hosted by the Big Ten conference foe Purdue.
Over the three-day tournament (Feb. 12-14), the Terrapins will play the par-72 - 7,506-yard Grand Reserve Country Club for the second year in a row.
The teams will play 18 holes each day beginning at 7:30 am ET.
The squad will be led by senior Dillon Brown of Halifax, Mass., senior Will Celiberti of Ridgewood, N.J., freshman Ronnie Kim of Olney, Md., freshman Constantin Mons of Hamburg, Germany, and sophomore Florian Huerlimann of Heidelberg, Germany will round out the Terps' lineup.
Just 16 days later, the PGA TOUR will be on the same golf course for the Puerto Rico Open. The individual medalist of the Puerto Rico Classic will receive an invite to play in the event.
The teams participating in the Classic include host Purdue, College of Charleston, East Tennessee State, Georgia, Marquette, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, South Carolina, Tennessee, and from the Big Ten Conference Iowa, Ohio State and Wisconsin.
