Softball Ranked No. 21 By D1Softball and NFCA, Highest Ranking Since 1999

COLLEGE PARK, MD -- Following a 4-0 weekend in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge, the Maryland softball team is ranked No. 21 in the D1Softball Top 25 of Feb. 20. The ranking marks the Terps' best ranking since 1999. The team also comes in at No. 21 in the NFCA rankings. NCAA rankings will be announced later today.
The Terps are coming off a perfect 4-0 weekend in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge with a pair of victories over North Carolina and Virginia.
Maryland is off to their best start since 2012 with an overall record of 8-1 with two ranked wins over No. 3 Oklahoma State and No. 22 Oregon. They are back in action in Waco, TX as they head to Baylor for the Baylor Invitational beginning on Friday.
