
Terps Set Season High Again In Columbus

College, Park, MD -- Maryland set their season-high team score but could not complete the victory over No. 15 Ohio State in a 197.575 - 196.475 defeat at the Covelli Center. The Terps continue to trend upward in 2023, setting their season high in each meet this season.
The meet began on bars for the Terps, as they posted a strong 49.250 team score. Aleka Tsiknias led the way matching her career high with a 9.925 on the event. Emma Silberman (9.900) contributed heavily on bars as well, setting her season high. The second rotation proved positive for the Terp as Alexsis Rubio, Silberman, and Reese McClure scored 9.825 on the vault.
Maryland moved to floor for their third rotation scoring 49.000 for the third time in four meets. Alexa Rothenbuescher set her season high posting a 9.875 with a beautiful routine on the mat. Josephine Kogler and the Terps closed Sunday's meet on beam with the sophomore leading the way with career high matching 9.900. McClure continued to be a consistent presence on beam, receiving a 9.875.
Silberman finished third in the all-around setting a new career high with a 39.350, besting her previous record of 39.3250 from Feb. 21, 2021 against Ohio State and Penn State.
