No. 21 Maryland Posts Strong Showing At GW Quad

WASHINGTON D.C. — No. 21 Maryland Gymnastics posted a 195.700 on Friday, taking second place at the GW Quad. George Washington finished first with a 195.950, ahead of Towson (195.425) and William & Mary (192.800).
The Terps started the Quad with a spectacular rotation on floor, posting a 49.375. This marks the seventh consecutive meet the Terps have scored 49.000 or better. Reese McClure, Madeline Komoroski and Emma Silberman all led the Terps with a score of 9.900. McClure and Silberman matched their career-high for the second straight meet on the mat.
Maryland rotated to vault where they posted a strong 49.000 team score. The Terps were led by Olivia Weir and Alexsis Rubio who each scored a 9.850.
The Terps moved to bars, scoring a convincing 49.075 as a team. Maryland was led by Emma Silberman who posted a 9.875.
Beam completed the meet for The Terps with Madeline Komoroski continuing to be a consistent presence on the event, scoring a 9.875 to lead the Terps.
Emma Silberman finished first in the all-around with a 39.400.
