PITTSBURGH, PA — No. 24 Maryland Gymnastics set a new program record with its highest team score ever at an NCAA Regional, posting a 196.675. The Terps finished in fourth place at the second session of the 2023 NCAA Pittsburgh Regional. Florida finished first with a 197.875, ahead of Arizona State (197.325), and Penn State (196.725). The Terps set a new program record by posting their highest team score ever at an NCAA Regional.
The Terps started the meet with a beautiful rotation on bars, posting a 49.275, marking the program's best score on the event at an NCAA Regional. Aleka Tsiknias and Sierra Kondo led the way, each scoring a 9.875. Tasha Brozowski also stunned with a well-executed routine, earning a 9.850.
Maryland rotated to beam where Josephine Kogler shined, anchoring the rotation with a 9.900. The Terps posted a 49.175 as a team, marking their second-highest score at an NCAA Regional on the beam.
