COLLEGE PARK, MD. - The University of Maryland softball team is set to play their final home weekend series against Wisconsin. The series schedule has been adjusted due to inclement weather. The series will now begin on Saturday with a doubleheader beginning at 2 pm, with the second game to follow 30 minutes after the completion of the first. Senior day will now take place after the conclusion of game two on Saturday as we honor

Courtney Wyche. The series finale is still scheduled for Sunday with a first pitch at noon. All three games will be streamed on B1G+.

scouting the foes
- Wisconsin has opened up the 2023 season with an 23-18 overall record and 8-9 in Big Ten play.
- The Badgers enter the weekend after falling twice to Minnesota in a midweek doubleheader.
- Maryland and Wisconsin last met in the 2021 season for a doubleheader in which the two teams split.

- The Terps are off to their best start in program history an overall record of 31-15
- Maryland has 26 home runs on the season so far, already surpassing their homerun total from the 2022 season of 17. Amelia Lech has been powering the offense with 13 of those home runs.
- Freshman pitcher Keira Bucher currently leads the nation in saves with 11 on the season. She is one save away from breaking the Big Ten all-time record.

- The Terps are coming off of a 2-1 series loss against Penn State. Maryland dropped the series opener in extra innings, before responding on Saturday with a 2-1 victory. Penn State took the rubber match 2-1 on Sunday.
- Jaeda McFarland led the way for the Terps at the plate last week with an average of .545, recording six hits, four runs and three RBIs.
- Maryland enters their final home conference series against Wisconsin with a 7-10 record in conference play.
