COLLEGE PARK, MD -- Maryland fifth year defenders Abby Bosco and Marge Donovan were both selected in tonight's 2023 Athlete Unlimited Lacrosse College Draft, the league announced Tuesday.

Bosco and Donovan are two of 13 college graduates who will be invited to join the third Lacrosse season, which begins on July 20 at USA Lacrosse Headquarters in Baltimore, Maryland. All games will be broadcast live on ESPN platforms.

The two leaders of the 2023 Maryland defense, Bosco and Donovan will join current volunteer assistant coach Alex Aust Holman ('13), Grace Griffin ('22), Meg Douty ('15) and Lizzie Colson ('21) as Terps that will participate in the 2023 Athletes Unlimited season. 

Bosco and Donovan have led a Maryland defense that has held 12 opponents to under 10 goals this season. A team captain, Bosco is second among all active players with 193 career groundballs and has 108 caused turnovers and 261 draw controls to go with it. The 2022 Big Ten Defender of the Year, Bosco ranks second in Big Ten in caused turnovers (40) and fourth in groundballs (40) this season. The 2022 Ivy League Defender of the Year at Princeton, Donovan has tallied 144 groundballs, 223 draw controls and 99 caused turnovers over her career as a Tiger and Terp.
