Maryland Athletics Broadcast & Production Unit Wins Four Capital Emmy Awards

BETHESDA, Md. -- The Broadcast & Production department in Maryland Athletics won four Capital Emmy Awards as announced by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, National Capital Chesapeake Bay Chapter on Saturday at the 64th Annual Awards ceremony.
  
"To receive four different Capital Emmy awards speaks to the creativity, consistency, and depth of the work that our team produces," said Mike Farrell, Associate Athletic Director for Broadcasting & Production. "This market is home to one of the largest NATAS Chapters in the country, so to compete and be recognized amongst the best in this region is truly an honor for our Broadcast & Production department."

The Wizard: A Walt Williams Documentary was honored with a Capital Emmy for Sports - One-Time Special, produced by Mike Farrell, Associate Athletic Director for Broadcasting & Production.



In the category of Promotion, Assistant Director of Production/Feature Producer Sophie Bradbury's women's basketball brand spot, Representing our LegUsy won an Emmy for Single Spot Image Promotion. 



Also in Promotion, in the category of Promotional Campaign, Maryland Athletics Brand Spots, featuring pieces from Farrell, Bradbury and Director of Video Production Connor Basch was honored with an Emmy.
 
To round out the awards, Farrell won an individual Emmy in the category of Sports Editor. 

These honors come on the heels of the Broadcast & Production department winning three Capital Emmy Awards last year
