COLLEGE PARK, MD – No. 8 Maryland women's basketball dominated William & Mary, 107-57, in a wire-to-wire win on Thursday's Field Trip Day at XFINITY Center. Maryland was also 35-of-50 from the free throw line, marking the most free throws attempted by the Terps this century, surpassing the mark of 47 at Wake Forest on Jan. 19, 2000. The 35 free throws made by the Terps are the most by the Terps since making 35 against Georgia Tech on Jan. 19, 2014.

Maryland Athletics granted free admission to the local schoolchildren, teachers and chaperones for Field Trip Day. Maryland Athletics also worked with local educators to provide schools with free lesson plans for every grade level corresponding to Field Trip Day activities.

  Frese's Take
"It's so much fun to bring in so much energy to this game with an 11 am tip," head coach Brenda Frese said. "We hope all the kids came away becoming Maryland fans for life and tell their parents they want to come back. Our players take the responsibility of being role models very seriously, and we take pride in that."
