Godfrey dominated in the circle, retiring 14 out of 17 Green Bay batters she faced.
Williams cracked a two-run home run to center field to extend Maryland's lead in the fifth inning. It was part of a six-run inning that eventually ended the game prematurely.
Maryland (4-7) led the entire game after jumping out to a 2-0 early lead. Jaeda McFarland reached base during every at-bat and added a stolen base to help anchor Maryland's offense. Megan Mikami added two RBIs in her three plate appearances. She also scored a run and drew a walk. Overall, seven different players came across home plate to score.
Green Bay (1-5) recorded just two hits throughout the contest.
The game was Maryland's first of five heading into its weekend of tournament action in Florida.

Breaking Down The Action
- In the bottom of the first inning, Megan Mikami led off with a walk and Jaeda McFarland reached on a fielder's choice before Sydney Lewis hit an RBI single to score Mikami. Delaney Reefe added an RBI single to score McFarland, giving the Terps an early 2-0 lead.
- Bri Godfrey retired the side in the second and third frames, making quick work of the Green Bay batters.
- Jaeda McFarland recorded her first stolen base of the game in the bottom of the third.
- With a Green Bay runner on first in the top of the fourth, Michaela Jones connected with Madison Runyan, who tossed it to Diamond Williams at first to complete the inning-ending double play.
- McFarland reached on a hit-by-pitch and Sammi Woods walked to put two runners on in the bottom of the fourth, but the Terps couldn't convert for additional runs.
- Godfrey delivered another three-up, three-down inning in the top of the fifth. Maryland's offense channeled this momentum into the bottom of the inning as Diamond Williams smashed a no-out, two-run home run to center field, scoring McFarland. Mazie McFarlane tacked on another run with an RBI single to score Caitylin Cornwell, pinch-running for Lewis. Megan Mikami joined the action with a two-RBI single to drive in Woods and MacFarlane. McFarland capped it off with an RBI single to score Runyan.
- Jaeda McFarland is fourth in school history in stolen bases with 54 and is only seven from passing Jenny Belak (2005-08) and claiming third place on Maryland's all-time list.
