GENEVA, OH - The Maryland track and field team wrapped up day one of competition at the Big Ten Indoor Championships, with impressive performances from the entire squad.

The Terps will hit the track and field again tomorrow in Geneva for the final day of competition.
Highlights
- Kyra Lyles ran a new personal best and improved upon her already fourth all-time 600m time, finishing in 1:33.19
- Lydia Robling ran the ninth fastest 400m in school history in the prelims, crossing the finish line in 55.45 seconds
- Chioma Njoku threw 19.67m in the women's weight throw
- Anna Coffin ran 4:47.68 in the women's mile prelims, while Sophia Zell also competed
- Freshman Victoria Teasley and Armanie Coleman ran in the 60m prelims in their first Big Ten Indoor Championships, running 7.56 and 7.61
- Rose Coats also competed in her first Big Ten Indoor Championships as well, running alongside Katie Altieri in the 5K
- The team of Katie Turk, Maya Mosley, Emma Pegg, and Emmi Simon competed for the Terps in the distance medley relay
The Terps will hit the track and field again tomorrow in Geneva for the final day of competition.
