Ethen Miller Named Solomon Eye Physicians & Surgeons Terp of the Week

COLLEGE PARK, MD -- Each week during the 2023-2024 season a Maryland student-athlete, who has shown excellence on and off the playing field, will be selected as the Solomon Eye Physicians & Surgeons Terp of the Week.
This week's Terp of the Week is Maryland wrestler Ethen Miller.

Miller recorded three victories in the Big Ten Championships this weekend at XFINITY Center, placing for the first time with a fourth place finish. Seeded sixth, the Kansas City native defeated Purdue's Marcos Polanco in the opening round before ousting No. 3 seed Caleb Rathjen of Iowa in the quarterfinals. After a narrow 5-4 defeat to second-seeded Austin Gomez of Michigan in the semifinals, Miller rebounded to take out fifth-seeded Dylan D'Emilio of Ohio State to advance to the third place match.

Miller's performance helped propel the Terps to 39 team points and a 10th place finish, both program best marks. With his win in the semifinals over Rathjen, Miller punched his ticket to the NCAA Championships in his hometown of Kansas City. It will be his second appearance in the NCAA Championships.
