
Brown-Turner Signs Training Camp Contract With Mystics

COLLEGE PARK, MD -- Former Maryland guard Jakia Brown-Turner signed a training camp contract with the Washington Mystics Wednesday.
Brown-Turner earned All-Big Ten Second Team honors this past season after averaging 13.5 points and a team-high 6.4 rebounds this past season. She scored in double figures in 23 of 32 games in her one season at Maryland. Brown-Turner finished her career with 1,706 points, 731 rebounds and 302 assists.
There are currently six former Terrapins on WNBA training camp rosters - Brown-Turner, Brianna Fraser (New York Liberty), Brionna Jones (Connecticut Sun), Diamond Miller (Minnesota Lynx), Alyssa Thomas (Connecticut Sun) and Shatori Walker-Kimbrough (Washington Mystics).
The WNBA season officially opens May 14.
