COLORADO SPRINGS, CO -- Former Terrapin legend Alyssa Thomas has been named to Team USA's roster for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris this summer.
This will be Thomas' first Olympics and the Terrapins' first United States women's baseball Olympian since Vicky Bullett, who won gold and bronze with the 1988 and 1992 Olympic teams.

Brionna Jones helped lead Team USA to the gold medal in the 2022 FIBA World Cup. Thomas averaged 9.9 points (.647% FG, .813% FT), 7.0 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 2.4 in eight games. USA went 8-0 en route to winning fourth-straight World Cup in Sydney.Â
Earlier this year, Thomas played in the 2024 USA Women's Olympic Qualifying Tournament Team, which went 3-0 at the 2024 FIBA Women's Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Antwerp, Belgium, where she averaged 9.0 ppg, 5.7 rpg, 3.0 apg and 1.0 spg in 22.5 mpg.
Thomas played for the Terrapins from 2010-14 and is Maryland's all-time leader in scoring with 2,356 career points and 1,235 career rebounds. She was an All-American, three-time ACC Player of the Year. She led the Terrapins to the 2012 ACC Championship and the 2014 Final Four.
