No. 4 Terps Shutout No. 17 Boston College At Big Ten/ACC Cup, 2-0

EVANSTON, IL – No. 4 Maryland field posted a 2-0 shutout against No. 17 Boston College on Sept. 6 at Lakeside Field in the Big Ten/ACC Cup. The Terps have opened the season 3-0 for three consecutive years going back to the 2022 season.

The Terps struck first less than two minutes into the contest. Freshman forward Ella Gaitan scored her first career goal. Sophomore midfielder Maya Everett extended the Terps' lead with a goal midway through the third quarter. Both were each player's first goal of their career.
Maryland's defense, led by Ericka Morris-Adams, Josie Hollamon and Rayne Wright, limited Boston College (2-1) to zero shots in the second quarter and just one in the third quarter.

Sophomore goalkeeper Alyssa Klebasko finished the game with five saves, including four in the fourth quarter alone. She was awarded her second shutout of the season and seventh of her career.
