EVANSTON, IL – No. 4 Maryland fell to No. 5 Duke on Sunday, 1-0, in a hard-fought battle against one of the best teams in the country. The Terps leave the ACC/B1G Challenge at 3-1 following their ranked victory over No. 17 Boston College on Friday.
Despite the loss, Maryland held advantages in shots (10-3), shots on goal (4-1) and corner opportunities (4-2). Led by defenders

Josie Hollamon and
Rayne Wright, the Terps' defense erased many scoring opportunities for the Blue Devils.
Sophomore goalkeeper Alyssa Klebasko held the Blue Devils to only one goal in the contest.

- An early Duke goal was taken off the board after a referee review.
- On the next possession, Maryland successfully challenged a play to prevent Duke from a penalty corner opportunity.
- The Duke goalkeeper blocked Hope Rose's shot off Maryland's first penalty corner. Rose put up a shot on goal before that led to the penalty.
